ok um these people were on earth and the planet got covered in people so some people had to leave so the main characters went to space and charged ppl to stay on the ship they use guns to fight then in the series two people were being chased by the police so they all are on the run now Shocked

Sounds interesting. No sarcasim there either. Unless it is really stupid, as many Sci-Fi shows are, it sounds entertaining enough.

It sounds cool. There is a new reality tv show in the uk where ppl think their in space but there not. There in a hanger at an old army base. These idiots are getting paid Ã‚Â£5000 a day for "going into space". The show is called space cadets " Boldly Going Nowhere". If they guess they are in space then they get taken out and replaced.

Firefly is pretty good. It debuted on fox a while ago and was cancelled. It is very good, it is made by the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. There was only one season, but there is good news for fans (to come after the explanation of the show).

In the show humans populate the entire galaxy. There hundreds of inhabited worlds. All the humans started on Earth, but too many people, and all that stuff. There is a government that runs the entire galaxy, but not everybody across the galaxy likes the government. So there was a civil war. The main characters from the show were on the side of the rebels who wanted a better system. They lost.

So now the main character charters out his ship, and does various things to make money. But since they still don't like the government, they stay on the outer rim of the galaxy where the government's presence is minimal. But technology is also pretty minimal out there. Many of the people they come across were settlers who live their lives like people did in the old west.

I don't remember ever seeing any type of energy weapons. They all use guns similar to what we use. All and all, it is well written, witty, and has some pretty decent special effects. But nobody watched when it was on Fox, so it was cancelled.

The good news is that it didn't die. You can buy the complete series on DVD for about forty US currency (region 1). And it was just on the big screen as well. In theatres it was called Serenity, and had the same cast and concept as the tv show. It got very good reviews, but didn't make that much money.

There has been talk about reviving the show on SciFi channel either as a made for tv movie, or as a new series.

The show is definitely worth watching.

Wolverine's brother told me it was the Star Wars of the 21'st century. He said it was one of the best movies he's seen in a long time.

No, you don't have to (from what I understand). I'm not even sure if it is a continuation of the tv series, but I haven't seen the movie yet.

If you ever buy American Sci-Fi shows on DVD you may want to consider Firefly. It only has thirteen episodes, but it is worth it.
