how about it?;

By entering this forum, you have stepped into my world. If you obey my rules you may live, otherwise I feel forced to remove you by all means. Here are the rules you must follow at all times. If you can't follow them then you better 'teleport' out.

1. No Scamming, this includes posting links to infected downloads, websites asking for usernames and passwords etc.

2. No Spamming. This means you do not flood the forum with crap, you do not repeat the same message over and over and you do not post inapropriate material.

3. No Flaming. We dont want people grilling each other in insults and we dont want anyone to start a war. Come on, we can all be nice here.

4. Understand that there are no Hacks or Cheats in Runescape Classic or Runescape. There are however autominers and bots but be warned that most of them are fake/contain keyloggers and Viruses.

5. Respect the Moderators, Veterans and the Admin. Common sense. If you decide to insult or flame a Mod, it will mean an immidiate ban.

6. When someone breaks one of these rules (ex. scamms, spamms) we only need ONE person to reply and tell us it is a scam (please explain why). The post will shortly be deleted, along with all your replies.

7. No Topics or posts about 'Scams', 'How you got hacked', 'Warez', 'Complaining about others'. We don't need these kind of topics or posts. Just leave them out, to create a better forum structure.

8. No Advertising of any kind. This includes posting links to other Forums, Websites etc. Only posts links if you think they are really relevant.

Punishments:

Scamming & Co (see rule #1): Instant Ban, no warnings. You will be IP banned and username banned. You will never again see these forums. You will also be IP traced and your ISP will possibly be contacted.

Spamming (see rule #2): One warning, after that if you decide to continue you will be username banned for 3-7 days. If after those 3 days you continue then it's a permanent IP and username ban.

Flaming (see rule #3): Your posts will be edited, locked or removed depending on what is most apropriate. Continued flaming will result in several warnings and eventually a ban.

Disrespect (see rule #5): If you insult a Mod or Vet, your post will be edited or deleted. You will recive a warning via PM and will be asked to stop and be respectful. Ignorance will be awarded with a 7 day tp permanent ban.

Advertising (see rule # Cool

: Your topic/post will be deleted on the spot and you will be banned for a number of days or permanently.

These rules are mostly common sense, please abide by them at all times. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to PM me.

seems a little too RPG however i do like it. You should make it more super-hero themed.

in the beginning where it says u have stepped into my world. It seems to much like an RPG. Make it more like something a super-hero would say(sorry i know the whole thing is korny as all get out), iut just fits the super-hero theme of the website.

give me a day to come up with something fancy, urs ids good it just lacks the theme with the rest of the website. If this forum were called sword of vengence itd fit the bill.

kk, but if we had veterans were could have something like this:

We have special areas on this site that only Veterans can access. Veterans are people that have consistantly been active and produce quality posts and advice.

There is only one way to become a Veteran:

First you must approach one of the "Veteran Council" and ask to be considered - Only people that have posted enough to become an "Demon" will be considered. The Council will look at a cross section of your posts and make sure you haven't broken any of the Forum Rules (including spamming to get your post count up). This can take up to 1 week.

If the council deem you worthy - we then hold an election amongst the existing Veterans. This will take 1 Week. If the majority of Veterans accept then you will become a Veteran. If not - you will stay an enthusiast.

The whole process should take 2 weeks and the person from the Veteran Council you first contacted should keep you informed on your progress.

Okay, so you're walking along, entering Falador from the South, when suddenly you see this:

New 3D Beta!! Go to Runescape3dbeta.freelosers.tk and sign up now!!

So you think to yourself "Grrr, stupid scamming losers!".

But you can do something about this.

This is what you can do...

WHAT TO DO

First, turn on Chat Block on the Runescape window. This is to prevent the scam site url from being bumped out of your chat history.

Next, open an Internet Explorer (or Netscape, or whatever web browser you prefer) window, and go to the scam site.
NOTE: It is recommended that you have a firewall installed before doing this. It is unlikely that anything can happen to your computer from simply passively viewing a scam site, but you never know.

At the site, go to VIEW -> SOURCE. A Notepad document will appear showing you the website's HTML code. You are searching for the word "redirect" or something similar. Near this word, you should find the "true" URL of the scam site.
(The sites that are advertised in Runescape are often "redirect sites").

Read the site. Is it asking you to download a program? Or enter your Runescape name and password? Take a mental note.

Then, open another web browser window and go to:

http://www.arin.net

Scroll down, then click on "Tools". Click on "Text-Only WHOIS Search".

Next, open your Command Prompt.

What you want to type here is: ping [scam site name - the one you found in the website HTML code]

Example:

Notice the IP address returned? This is what we want. Enter this IP into the arin.net space, where it says "Search for:".
Close the Command Prompt window and the Notepad window.

At the result screen displayed, you'll see some information:

Click on the first link that begins with the word "NET". You should see a screen such as:

Look for something that says "Abuse e-mail:". In the absence of such, you could use the "Tech E-mail:" field to locate an e-mail address to report the site to, as someone in charge of the servers hosting the scam site would receive it.

Finally, you must compose an e-mail alerting the host of the scam site that they are hosting.

Here is a template for you to follow, if you like:
QUOTE Please note that the following site:

http://scamsitename.domain [The redirect site, not the one advertised in the game!]

...is being hosted on your servers, and is a site designed to deceive other players from the game Runescape.
(http://www.runescape.com)

The site is

Stop. Is it asking people to download a file? If so, then continue the mail as such:

QUOTE asking people to download a file disguised as [an autominer, Java update, whatever], but in fact is a keylogging program or Trojan horse virus.

If it's asking you to enter your Runescape name and password, continue with:

QUOTE asking people to enter their account names and passwords, falsely promising them free items. It is in fact an attempt to steal their accounts.

Finish the e-mail with this paragraph:

QUOTE Please deactivate this site immediately before people begin to lose their accounts. Thank you for your time!

- [Your real first name]

Thus:

CONCLUSION

You may or may not receive a reply, and if you do it might only be to tell you that your e-mail was successfully received.
If you want, keep track of the website for a few days. If you get a 404 or 500 error, then congratulations! You've
become a Scambuster.
