Does God exist?

Jesus technically died on the cross and was placed in the tomb.

He was ressurected but it said nothing about being ressurected in the same body.

Then where did his body go when it supposedly disapeared? His soul acended into heaven, came back for his body, did his thing, then he and his body acended, according to the bible.

Unless that is totally wrong.

The way too look at the Bible, and come across as a sensible chap, is to totally not take it literally.

The moral of the story of Jesus dying is a representation of the sacrifce God is silling to make for humanity. Offing his own son and all that.

The resurrection represents the fact that we can go to the "eternal kingdom of God" if we accpet the teachings of Christ (*yawn*).

To take it literally is a bit R-Tarded if you ask me. To look at it metaphoricly, to read between the lines, is a much better tactic.

But aren't the stories like that one supposed to be taken sorta literally? Most stories are for their moral, yes, but some, like that one, show that Jesus was in fact Holy, if really made an acention into heaven and all.

Isn't it a bit... backwards to except some "truths" in the bible as the absolute truth, and some as metaphorical?

Either its all true, or it all isn't.

But each book of the bible is written by different a person(s), so it could be thought that some parts, mayve most are to be metaphorically, while others are the supposed facts about Jesus' life.

I don't know, I've always thought that some parts were to be taken literally. Not all, by any means, just some. The ones that recount stories that happened for example.

yes. the video in 5th grade didnt lie.

but back when those jews made up the religion, they didnt have xrays and baby viewing machines. they were just too.... primitive.... that they couldnt know that. but now more and more people are stopping believing. why? the FACTS!

and if you cant see the evolution happing right in front of your eyes, it is because you are ignorant. how the hell can you see something happening right in front of your very face, and not believe it happeneing? STUPIDITY!

Kidd rune if evolution is real then why is everyone who doesnt believe in it stupid? If evolution is real shouldn't people evolve and become smarter and adapt to evolution???

i got your point kidd rune,evolution is something natural something that requires a lot of time ,more than a single life ,so we just can witness what will happen in the next 80 -90 year(so the fact is that we wont realize about evolution never bcs the evolution is not what happen to the people, or the world, the evolution is what happen to ourselves),,but god is something that give us hope in the hardest times and make us give our best not for evolution ,not for us ,but for our beloved ones ,,,,,thats what i think

ok wolf.... you dont evolve into knowing things. it doesnt just pop into every1s head at the same exact time. but our brains have gotten more advanced. we have developed speech with languages. we have learned how to create nuclear bombs instead of throwing spears. and also, do you know what your tonsils do? they USED TO clean out meat you ate. but, having evolved, we can clean our meat. now, they do absolutely nothing, because of adapting and evolution.

And beelzemon, it takes millions of years for humans to evolve. some other species, like bugs, can evolve in 20 years or so. germs can evolve in weeks for that matter.

Its just like appendix, I think. It has become a useless organ, because we don't need it any more. Because we evolved.

Why would God give us useless organs?

Doesn't seem like something an perfect being would, does it?

My dad needed 2 take out his appendix cause he went 2 space camp. If u r an astronaut u need them out.

Also, u christians cannot win this stuff. You cant prove any of your beliefs, you just have 2 believe in them.
