More educated posts

I think that we should urge our members to make more educated posts, by not typing things like "wut", "ur" "u" and etc, along with having correct grammer. Even some mods are making these kinds of posts. Maybe we should make a post about this and sticky it because it will make this forum sound more professional and educated.

What do you think?

I think every person should be able to speak as they wish as long as it gets the point out and for younger ones who can't help it its going happen inevitably.

Even some mods are making these kinds of posts. Maybe we should make a post about this and sticky it because it will make this forum sound more professional and educated.

Thats ok, we don't need to sound professional.
I hope you don't judge me by my grammer rather the content of my post.

I am against all intalect.

It only leads to worse things.

Like spelling.

And wahts wrong with typing shorthand. Its the internet, use wait in english class use w8 on the net mmm k?

Well, I've been looking at alot of other gaming forums out there and examining them (the ones with like 800 members on at once) and most of their posters don't post like that.

We can improve with more users, they started out like this. They improve as positions on the forum get more competitive.

This has been talked about before, and it wasn't resolved. As annoying as I find "Txt chat" and suchlike abbreviations, its not like I can go around there and beat the offenders with their keyboards until they learn not to.

Though I never really understand the need gor "SMS/TXT chat". You've got a keyboard, with every letter on seperate keys. The time difference between typing something out in full and using an abreviation is a mere split second. I understnad the use of txt chat on a mobile phone, where more than one letter is assigned to one key, so it takes time to type out (I still type out in full... such is the level of my pedanticness), but on a keyboard, it makes you look lazy, unintelligent, and a bit silly.

Grammar isn't so much of an issue for me, but it is nice if people actually make sense in their posts.

Yeah, l337 sucks. Its for total geekboys. The only time it is ever acceptable to use is when you're being ironic and or/taking the piss out of geekboys.
