racism is rampid in CA. right now. In the area I live, including my school, the hispanic people are protesting. The kids are leaving school all over the valley to protest the deportation of illegal immigrants. It's a huge issue right now, I think in Texas also. What do you guys think? They are here illegally, but most are just trying to feed their families. Some are just here to live off the system, but a lot of citizens are doing that too.

There are lots of people in Britian complaining about the amount of legal immigrants in the UK. Which, to me, makes no sense.

Immigrants make this country what it is. We have a a very diverse culture, which I love. These "immigrants" make that. What they also do si support our economy. If, lets say, the B.N.P got there way, and all immigrants got there way, that'd leave a lot of job vacancies. Lots. And these job vacancies aren't going to be filled up quickly enough, due to the fact that they are low paid, undesirable jobs. So our economy would collapse faster than you could say "oh bugger".

I dunno if the same applies to America, but that's certainly the case here in england, and it always really pisses me off when somebody says "eurgh, damn immagrants our filling up our damn country"...

If you think about all Americans except natives are descendants of immigrants and so are many people in th UK. No one is purely english or American or watever. I love the diversityin the UK. For example in London alone over 200 languages are spoken. and in my town the biggest Sikh temple outside of India is under constuction. Without diversity life would just be boring

If an immigrant is here illgeally, then yes, I do believe they should be deported. If they want to live here so badly then they should be able to get here legally. It isn't that hard.

Racisim isn't the best thing, but it is never going end.

actually it isn't that easy to become legal. it can take years to do so. Most of the illegals in CA. are working for farmers for less than minimum wage. If they were gone, and farmers had to pay higher wages for labor, I fear prices would go so high it would hurt our economy bad. Like frd said. The sad thing is, a lot of the illegals are working under a fake ss#, drawing welfare under another, unemployment, and disability under another. That stinks. There was a bust not long ago where they arrested 60 illegals in one company doing that.

Yea, it is very hard. I know from personal experience. They don't let almost anyone come to the United States, even for visiting because we tried to get a visa for my aunt to come visit us, and they wouldn't even let her come visit because they thought she would stay or something.

I think theres a lot of people out there that are rascist. Now how rascist is just the issue. I go to school everyday and I hear atleast one ethnic joke. I dont feel like its hatred but its just something that seems to happen. I choose to no partake in these "bashings", but some of the stuff does seem to disturb me. I just hate the hypocritical people that point out rascism every 5 minutes then go ahead and pass on ethnic jokes. Its not funny IMO and I dont like it.
