I was just thinking you say a lot of the people who visit the forums only play the RPG. How about implementing something which allows them to play like say up to a certain level or play a certain amount of time then force them to register. Then once again more levels later or more time and then force them to make a certain amount of posts to get more time. How about that?

I don't know, the bad side is that they might spam to get posts.

Well i suppose but rsstites and the mods could sort them out. Some of the members who would post wouldn't spam and it would get more members to post

Well i was thinking more of something that lets them play a certain amount of time as a guest then they are forced to register to play on. Then after being registered a while they have to be forced to post a certain amount to play and so on.

i think it would be a good idea. one of my friends joined hog and only plays on the rpg and arcade. he hasnt made one post yet.

A guest can play a couple of rpg games, then when they register they can play them all. I can set some of the more popular games to cost forum currency to play, but I can't set a time limit.

I don't know much about the rpg, but there may be a way to lock it out for new forum members. Then they can play after they have so many posts.

But the rpg actually makes most of the forum's money, which is used for upgrades, security and hosting. Since the arcade doesn't refresh pages causing thousands of impressions, I don't have any problem changing it.

this goes with posting in general. it bothers me that most of the members have made no or a only a few posts.

Yeah, it would be nice to have more active users. Things were picking up last month, but our hosting problems (that are fixed now) delayed that.

I'm making a monthly drawing thing. But I want it so people have to be active to play. I should have the bugs worked out soon. The prizes will be things like games and Amazon gift cards.
