Okay, I've been playing this a bit right now, and it's not half bad.

It's kinda a real time strategy spaceship rpg. I have three ships, and am doing a bunch of mining. I havn't done much else yet, just trying to build my ship up a bit.

I like it a lot, but it is usually slow paced and not for everybody.

I did too. I stopped the tutorial half way through and went on my merry way.

First thing I did was mine for a couple dozen hours and buy better ships and equipment. Then I started accepting missions. I still have not joind a 'corp' yet, but I will eventually.

In EVE money is everything. You don't level up by battling, you level up by clicking on or buying a skill you want to train. And since money is everything, I'm working on buying a Mining Barge so I can strip mine and make millions.

You see, when you have to buy your skills, I just hate that. You should earn levels by doing that skill and gaining XP, not by buying them with money. I don't like games that do that.

You buy the skill to learn. Then you learn it over time, and you do have sp (I think) that you need to learn skills.

Right now I'm learning some advanced skills I need for mining. One of them will take two days to learn, and the other will take three days. Then I'll have to upgrade one of them one more time which will tak about a week.

At E3 they told me it would take something like 34 years to learn every skill in the game.

I'm focusing on mining right now. I am mainly a fighter, but I want a better ships before I get too into the battling.

I really enjoy EVE. It is slow, so I work on other things when i'm traveling accross the galaxy or mining.

that what i did with runescape. i worked on vocab on dictionary.com and switched back to rs every so often.

You can also do combat missions (etc) to gain money. Then you use the money to purchase upgrades, and it takes a set amount of time for the upgrades to be installed.

Basiacally there is no XP, you just use the money you earn.
