simple but effective sig tutorial

1.Start with a 400x150 pic with white background, or whatever u want.

2.make a new layer, and get out some abstract/grundge brushes. Brush around till you got a good background like this:

(if it is too light, make a new all black layer, and set it to soft light. If its too dark, make a new layer that's white and set it to soft light)

3.now get a render. I'm using this you can go to http://planetrenders.net for some renders, but make sure to register for full sized pics.

4.If your render is too big press Ctrl+T and between the width and height options click the chain(circled in red) then resize it.

5.now, duplicate your render layer (ctrl+j) and go to filter > blur > motion blur. Use these settings:

6.now press ctrl+T and stretch the blur so it fills the picture

7.now put it under the render layer, and set the blending options to color(if its colorful),soft light or overlay. Whichever looks better in your opinion.

8.Now, for text (my worst subject Sad

) get a good font at dafont.com or if you have a good one use that. Now add it in and play with the layer style a little (Layer > Layer style) so that it looks good

9.Now, for the border. I will tell you how 2 make 2 different ones. The first is and ordinary 1 color, 1 pixel border. Kind of plain but does the trick. Make a new layer. Press Ctrl+A. go to Edit > Stroke. Use these options:

10.Now for the other Border, make a new layer, press Ctrl+A, and go to Edit > Stroke. Use these options: (its animated)

11. thats it, u can add an overall hue/saturation or color balance if u want, but i didn't. heres the end result:

Make like 50 backrounds Razz

Put them on our GFX site but put like our site url over them so they cant be stolen, and of c. send me the untext'd one Razz

And I need to find brushs for fireworks.

Gladly. I only wish I had more time to play with Photoshop. I spend most of my time working on new and different webpage coding.
