Scuse the bad pun.
So this is a thread about what MP3 player you have, what MP3 player you want, and what you think sucks and what doesn't.
I used to be an iPod man. And they were good. Pretty damn good. Easy to use, good software to update and upload, and some pretty nifty firmware.
But then I saw what Creative had to offer. And the sexiest toy I saw was the Zen Micra Photo. Its brilliant.
The trangression from iPod to Zen was difficult to begin with, but now I sneer at iPods...the big bulky ones at least. I still can't look at an iPod nano and not whimper with delight and wonderment. But I'm standing by my Zen.
'Course, as soon as I got my zen photo... they wen't and released the Zen movie.
Go figure. |

| i have one of the older 20gig iPods. i really like it. what i want though is a iPod video. my dad has a sandisc (SP i cant find it) and an olympus. ive played around with both of them and cant reccomend them. although they were much cheaper than an iPod they are hard to use. |

| The only types of iPods I now like the look of are Nanos and Videos... the rest are just too big and... bulky. Look bad IMO. |

| Nanos are pointless........$300 for a thing with 6GB of memory, or you can pay an extra $100 for 30GB. I wonder....... |

But Nanos look freakin' sweet!
And who actually listens to 30GB of music all the time?
I like to put only my favourite songs onto an mp3 player, so why bother buying thirty gig when all you really need is 6?
Besides, Nanos look much, much better than the bulkier models. I'd much rather be seen with a Nano than a normal 'Pod. |

but in the long run you'll eventually run out of 6 gigs. the bigger models will too but it will be a lot longer before they do. |

Not if you're conservative about what oyu put on your 'Pod. You have all-time favourite songs and yeah, they'll probably have a permanent spot on your mp3 player.
BUt music is changing all the time. As does your taste in bands/genré etc etc. So its not like your playlist is going to be the same for alll time.
I change my mp3 list like.... every 2 or 3 months. I have a 12 Gig player, and even with changing it, I come no where near close to filling it up.
30 GB is a lot of music, and I know lots of people that fill there's up to the brim. The funny thing is, They won't listen to over half, maybe even three quarters of their songs.
*shrug*
Why waste money on technology that you're not going to use or use but not appreciate? |

I don't waste mine.
When I am not in the mood for anything specific, I have it play on random. I have it almost all filled, and since I got it, it has gone all the way around 2 or 3 times. That is alot of music. Just what I might be needing, a little randomness.
And who care what it looks like while you are holding it!
Sweet jesus! All it does is hold music, not a fashion statement! |

I'm dissing anyone that buys it for "fashion".
Why would I diss them? I have the 30GB. |
