We just received notice that we have 'outgrown' our current hosting plan. We will be upgrading to a VPS plan later this week to help compensate for increased traffic across the site.

Sorry about any inconvenience the move will cause.

Some of them are bots, but the traffic has picked back up on the main site. I usually keep the stats seperated so I can distinguish between bots and humans.

We used to share our server with about 700 other web sites. Well, it turned out we were using around 13% of the ram on the server. It wasn't fair to the other sites, becuase we were bogging down the server, causing all the sites to crash for about five minutes (whenever you would see the 'too many connections' mysql error).

Also, as far as I know, the kind of bots we get don't generate page impressions. Google and ValueClick Media filter them out. So the 500,000 page impressions we've had this year should be pretty acurate.

That may sound like a lot, but it's really not. It just means we're not a 'small' site anymore. Hopefully one day we'll be getting the 500,000 page impressions a day.

Well, I guess this is a good thing lol. I was wondering what was going on when I tried getting on at school and it said "This account has been suspended" I was like wtf is going on..

I get it every time I feel like login'in witch isnt all that often with me being so unenthusiastic about going on the net ofr the time being.

Danny and Dan's school both have programs like Net Nanny that don't let them go to un-approved sites. Poor guys.

The server move will finished by Friday. With some luck, we won't see much downtime during the move.

Rsstites is right btw we got a programme called R2M Learning which blocks things like GameFAQs, MySpace etc...

The move is done, and things seem good. Please let me know if you get any type of downtime, or mysql errors. With what I have to pay now, I'll open a support ticket for just about anything.
