My dad is seriously considering getting one of these, not just a PSP but a handheld in general, and he wants to know what kind he should get. I said he should get a PSP, but I wanted to know what y'all thought about it too.
It wouldn't be merely for gaming, but also for the apparent internet abilities and organizational value. Is it worth it? |

| In my experience i have both the consoles. I have the had the DS for only around 1 month and i have it on a swapz website already thats how much i dislike it. The games for it are all rubbish most are aimed at the younger generation, get a PSP best buy you'll make |

| it depends on the gamer mate, what type of games are yer dad inta? I mean you want shooters, or racing games, Or fighting button masher style games, PSP is the way to go. You want some classics like mario and luigi, or kart style racing, or just generally git-in-em-fun-for-a-few-week type games, DS is your choice. Just remember that sometimes the older fellows may have trouble with the touchscreen, or may have troubles with the complexity the PSP offers. No offense at all to yer dad. Generally if you ask anyone, you'll get an OMG PSP sucks! or OMG DS Sucks! or OMG THE GAMES ARE TERRIBLE! well. That's because every gamer is different. As the above thread has gone on to prove for us. I won't reccomend either system over the other, as I gain equal enjoyment from both. I tend more towards my PSP for the types of games available on it, and the easy wireless play, but that's just me. Best of luck to you and your dad, enjoy the system ya choose and overall have a helluva lotta fun ^^ |
