Final Fatasy XII

I have this one coming for the PS2. I checked it out at E3, but I don't think I gave it the time it deserved.

Has anyone played it yet?

Yeah I have. Its a good game.

Some things though, Vann the MAIN character, has to relevence to the story whatsoever, and penelo, she has less. Other then that, its alright.

I'll probably start it this weekend. It took me six months to get through my last rpg so it may be a while before I'm that into it.

You know, he does. I was jazzed when I got to use his brother at the very begenning. I liked him as the main character much better.

Well, I'm about ten hours through this one, and have enjoyed it so far. It doesn't stack up to other FF games I've played story wise, but it is better than most other role playing games.

I also love the control scheme, and hate the 'licenses'. Square Enix always puts some sort of weird license system in their FF games, and I've never been a fan.

i have to agree i prefer the sphere grid in ten but think it shuld run as an extra along side regular levelling up

yeh i have had it just over a week played for about 20 hours but there is a lot of levellin up involved and its annoyin with the quickenings spending all your mp just bring back the damn limit breaks, overdrives, dynes or whatever you want to call them

I agree. The game has too much of an online feel to it, which is fine...If the game was online.

exactly its not a bad game its just definately no where near the best

Game also gets pretty boring due to the massive grinding. This was so bad I went out and bought dragon quest 8 to get my mind of it.

Grinding is when you stop playing the game and start killing things over and over to level up massivly. Most games should not have massive grinding, except online ones which need it. Not only is grinding boring but it also takes the fun out of the game.
