I can't find the topic he mentioned it, but he thought I should add more content on the main page (not the forum) below the Featured Content and above the videos.

It took me a while to get it worked out, but I added a shoutbox and recent articles. Hope you like Mr. Monkey.

Yes, content is important. But I don't know about that chatterbox. If people like the chatterbox, then keep it. If people hate the chatterbox, then replace it with an ad or something.

I want to put a poll there, but I was having some trouble with the code (the poll is page specific and it doesn't recognise it in that box). The chatterbox is probably temporary.

I think that a poll would make much more sense. The main site doesn't have much of a community that I can see, so it would be stupid people shouting stupid things.

If you have a poll of a odd, random question, people will be more likely to vote.

ex: Bananas or Grapes?

Things like that.

I still read the reviews on the main page and try to leave comments on the featured content. Maybe you can have a gaming related poll question.

Weekly, daily, whatever interval you would like,

The smaller the better, people like seeing that things are changed and updated.

I would also put a recent changes sort of page somewhere.

On Lunar Wars, they have daily polls in the sidebar to vote on, and have updates on the main section. Makes you feel like the site is up to date and better off.

That's our goal, but we still have a ways to go. I don't even have time to review the games that the companies send me (not in a timely manner).

There are a few thousand votes per vote in each one on LW.

But traffic needs to be way higher for that.
