First off, there haven't been many good games released since its launch.
Then you have the problem of the dead pixels. There is a program that can help restore the dead pixels, but it doesn't always work.
The UMD's. I dislike them as much as I dislike mini-disks, betas, and eight-tracks. I'm all for unification. Make everything work with everything else. And why release them now, Blu-Ray and HDDVD's will be out soon, so I don't really see the point of adding a sixth disc format (cd, dvd, mini-disk, blu-ray, hddvd).
Surfing the internet on the PSP makes me want to throw the stupid little thing. And listening to mp3 or watching non-umd movies is just too much of a hastle (you have to format them).
Okay, enouph with my ranting. The PSP is a good system. It just needs more good games, but they are coming. |

I agree with the lack of games, and the dead pixel thing. Son should provide its customers with a system that foes not break!
But to be fair, I reckon the UMD thing is just a clever little way of Sony making more money. We all kno what rip-off merchants they are. ITs just there way of making a bit more cash. I'm happy to pay the extra money for different formats, just so long as they provide me with a quality experiance.
I can't wait to browse with my psp.
LIstentning to MP3's is a bonus, as I get bored of games, but I have to go on many a long train journeys. Same with the movies. Formatting shouldn't be a problem. I'll probably let the compute format everything overnight whilst I'm sleeping.

| At least you should be able to play the UMD's on the PS3, and maybee other Sony products. |

| Really? I had no idea. All hockeydude talks about is how UMD is just a waste of money. |

I've heard that there are already plans to make UMD drives (wether these would be USB or not I have no idea).
It may also be possible that the PS3 could be UMD compatible. It would make a lot of sense.
HAving said that, Sony are never ones to lose out on making money. They will try to make everything as justifabley expensive as possible. |

| They will do what they can, but they are going to start pushing the blu-rays soon. I just hope they will finish what they started with the UMD's. |

| I have yet to encounter the dead pixel issue and so far I like my psp and the UMD format. The only issue I have with the psp is the lack of games (which is changing) and the fact that you have to format your files for the psp sucks but atleast you can do it |

Formatting is no biggie. It trakes about half an hour for a 10 minute clip.
Do it over night. No problem. |

| I agree, like i mean if you want a good quality movie, get a portable dvd player, if you want a lot of songs, get an ipod, i mean like PSP is leaning more towards a movie player than a game player. |

A PSP was originally made for playing games on i thought LOL
I wouldn't buy a PSP just because it could do those things. A true gamer buys the consoles for the games not for the extras. You guys agree with me don't you? |

Its a beautiful machine. Games, photos, movies, mp3s...
I want it all. on one machine. And thats what the PSP gives me. Its like sex in the palm of your hand |

Fan Boy.
You're argument has one, albeit slightly vast, flaw. People are still buying them. They're flying off the shelves.
Lets face it, people who can afford a PSP can afford to fork out a bit more. Gaming is becoming one of the largest industries in the world (right up there with porn and car manfacturing). Its a dog eat dog world, and you'll have to play a little dirty if you want to survive.
You need to unserstand that Sony is in it pureky for the money. They're making big bucks. And rightly so. |
