Superman Returns

I just saw this one today and it was pretty good. It reminded me of the ones I watched as a small child, but it was still good.

They did a decent job of balancing the comedy, action and love story. It makes it appeal to a wide audience, but also stops it from being great because it is too diverse.

Definately worth watching if Superman even remotely interests you.

Now that I have had a couple of days to let the movie sink in, I want to add that there wasn't much going on for such a long movie.

It was a good solid average flick.

For me it didn't compare to the Spiderman movies. Also the critics seem to agree. It's average rating is 7.1/10 out of 181 reviews on RottenTomatoes.com.

Spiderman 2 got an average of 8.2/10 from 222 reviews and Superman 1 got an average of 8.1/10 from 39 reviews.

The consensus with Superman Returns was that it was a little bland. That they made it appeal to all audiences rather than focusing on any particular group.

Don't get me wrong, I liked it, I just thought it was average.
