You all know that you can use the PSP as a mini DVD player. But my question is why would you want to? You have to buy the movie, and it will only play on your PSP (as far as I know). It can be a good thing if you have all the money in the world, but who can afford to buy your favorite movie twice?

Personally I watch DVD's on the move using my laptop. You can buy mini-DVD players that play actual DVD's for less than what a PSP costs. So is this just a nice little extra that Sony is using to exploit and use to sell more movies, or are they trying to make their PSP more usefull?

youd have to work for Sony to b able to do that bcause that UMD drive isnt on any other drive and itd be very illegal.

i bought napolean dynamite for it. yeah and i dont think it was worth it. woulda been cheaper just to get the dvd.

That's kinda my point. I don't believe you can watch the PSP movies on any other device (if you can let me know). But the DVD can be played on just about anything. I got one to play on a phonograph once (granted it played "sscccrreeeechhh", but it still played).
