That sounds about right. From what I know they are still trying to make it for $300 to $400 US. So £500 may not be out of the question.

really but $300-$400 american is like £150-£200 range not £500

Sony already had 2 unprecedented price reductions in the US in 2007, but it is uncertain if there will be another price decrease in the future. The magical number for Sony is $ 300. If they can get the PS3 to $ 300 to coincide with the release of Guns of The Patriots, then skies the limit for Sony in 2008.
