|
|
I just bought a new cartridge for my Epson all in one printer. When i put it in and everything, it wouldn't print black, but it would print gray like when i put 90 % grey. The printer recognizes the cartridge and on the box of the cartridge it says that the printer supports it. I replaced the cartridge with the same kind, but still the same problem.
Anyone have any Good suggestions. |

When in doubt, give it a clout.
Have you tired turning it off and on again? Normally that solves the problem with most electronics. |

| Could be defective, take it back and get a new one. That is if you've tried everything and it all fails |

| Did you insert it right and remove the old one correctly? |

Im sure he did but make sure cause my printer has the same problem and i think its a lexmark but when you go to install a new cartridge you also have to install it onto to your computer. Like the computer doen't automatically recognize it. I would think now that technology has gotten better it'd be the other way around but whatever.
Try that and if it doesn't work I'd consider calling the company. They can usually be very helpful and I've never had a problem with computer companies, they're usually very nice, etc. Now on the other hand I'm not saying that ALL are but they're out to make money so I'm sure they want you to buy an Epson in the future. |

| All I can say is make sure that is connect properly. I can look at it if you want me to, but if it is printing in grey but not black, that may be because it isn't inserted correctly. Try adjusting settings with the printer on your computer. If that doesn't work, I would call them and ask what's up. |

| It does sound a little like a hardware problem. I would personally take the printer back and get another. |
