Well, it looks like were getting a few new members a day. Not all of them are the most active bunch, but it feels like a good group. Were getting about six to ten clicks on the new ads a day, but not all of them are registering. I used to have another forum, for X-Men Legends, it had about twenty active members but I let it die. They even had a link to my fan-site on the official page.

Okay, I did enouph fishing for new members today. We had ten clicks on the ads, eight clicks from the main site, and I pm'ed some people on another forum and got flamed by some dude. I think we need to just give it some time.

Im telling you guys, you got to cut down on the # of forums you have. The more forums you have the more empty it looks. Would you rather have 20 forums with 2 post in each or 4-5 forums with 20 post in each? Need more content too. Just start posting WHATEVER! thats what were doing. You cant expect to get a crapload of members in blowup the 1st month or even in the 4th month. It takes time. This is my 2nd site i've opened. My other one has 6, 910 members and a total of 142,000 post. I know from experience what it takes. You can also cehck out theadminzone.com. its forum for people to discuss how to promote their forums. Its pretty useful actually. Hope you guys get some members and become huge.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to check out theadminzone.com and see what we have there. Unfortunately we can't cut down on the number of primary categories becuase each category has a link from every page on the main site, which is a little over fifteen hundred pages. It would take weeks to re-write those menus.

I dont know if we get away from all the topics then were really no longer a site that features so many different consoles. However you should get rid of N-gage and gameboy, but thats only if u want the size to grow.

Right now we have one section for every section on the main site. We get most of the traffic for the XBox 360 forum, but not many of them join. When we do the next overhall of the site we will probably get rid of the unnecessary categories. Another option is to make a handheld area with Gameboy, N-Gage, DS and PSP in it. Thus cutting down on the number of categories on the index page. I want to give it a little time before we make any drastic changes though.

Sorry but another suggestion for the forum, we need a quick reply, like a box at the bottom of the page to reply to a thread because its a bit long having to click a link that takes you to another page and so on....
