I was just contacted (email) by a guy over at Magic the Gathering. They have a mmorpg for MTG. I need to know if anybody has ever played the card game, or the PC game. I guess they are making Magic the Gathering 3 for the PC. We've been talking via email, and he told me to call anytime for an interview.

Does anybody know anything about the game (I've never played the PC or card game) and what's your opinion on it.

I was also contacted by some people making 'Gothic 3', but I'm not familiar with that game either. If you know anything about Gothic or Magic the Gathering, please let me know.

I'm going to have to buy some cards and learn. I tought Wolverine Pokemon without ever playing before, so it shouldn't be to tough. I should be able to get my hands on the PC game to try it out as well.

I get to tour their booth at E3, and it seems like they have a big deal going on. They had a worldwide contest and flew in the best players, and are going to have them play each other. Seems interesting.

Here is their spill:

"Since its launch in 2002 Magic: The Gathering Online has been quietly establishing itself as one of the most successful online games with its unique gameplay and pricing model. More than 200,000 players are now registered and compete in battles of skill with more than 2 million matches hosted each month. Over-caffeinated twitch players with short attention spans need not apply because this game favors deep strategy and critical thinking over manual dexterity. Did you know that there's no monthly fee? You pay for the cards, not to play the game.

This year you have the unique opportunity to get some hands-on time with Magic Online III. A representative from Wizards of the Coast will walk you through all of the new features and give you a chance to test your skills in the online version of the grand-daddy of trading card games, Magic: The Gathering.

Wizards of the Coast will also be hosting its Tenth Annual Magic Invitational at the booth. Magic fans have voted on the Pro Players that they want to see compete at the show and Wizards is flying them to the show to do just that.
The winner will be able to design a new card for an upcoming expansion."

If anybody can think of some questions, then please let me know. I need to send the inteview off, and still don't have the first clue.

The PC game seems to be just like the card game, and you can play against people from all across the world.

Never mind, I just finished a short Q&A with them. They should have it back to me within a week. I'll publish it for those who are interested in the Chronicle either next week or the week after that.
