Can somebody tell me what this is about?

I saw part of one episode, and it left me more confused than anything.

Doctor Who is the last remaming citizen of his race called the Time Lords. In the last great Time War between the Time Lords and the Daleks the Time Lords sacraficed themselves to banish the Daleks from ever returning. Dr Who was the only survivor. Having no purpose in life he travels in time with his Tardis helping those in need and exploring many worlds.

Hopefully that was good enough

Dr Who is an excellent show thats been on and off the screens for the last few decades. I pity you for not hearing of it before...

I love Doctor Who. I got the first "new" series on DVD, seen all of the second series and i have one of the old episodes on DVD
