There was a recall on the Wii Straps that hold the controller onto your hand. Apparently there are some idiots getting to into their games (specifically Wii Sports) and the strap is breaking because it is too thin sending the Remote into the air, and into the tv, wall, or Wii in some cases. So now Nintendo plans to replace all of the thinner Wii straps with ones that are almost twice as thick. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/ is the place to get replacement straps for free.

Lol yea I think it was funny. I was watching the news and they showed the one T.V and it had a Wii remote stuck in the front panel. I was like, wow, that's some hardcore gaming there, they had to of been swinging the remote pretty fast.

I looked at my controller (I have a Wii if you didn't know), and the only way to break the strap would be if you threw the controller rather hard and let go of it.

I didn't want to put the strap on last time I played (not my Wii), but I figured it was better than buying a new TV if I accidentially threw the remote.
