Microsoft has allowed game makers to add up to 250 more gamerscore points to each game. 1250 points per game. Neat huh?

They are there to show how much better you are than others. The more, and better, you play, the more points you get.

And for the most part they're for doing things that you may not normally do. Like in
Oblivion you get points for reaching the every step in the guilds.

Gamerscore really doesn't mean anything because it doesn't reward you with anything.
Sure you can have a huge number, but anyone can rent a bunch of games that have easy achievements and boost their score by thousands. Not much fun in that though. I wish it was more of a rating based on which achievements you've gotten.

For example...someone who's beaten Gears of War on Insane and gotten the 5 achievements for it has a Gamer Rating of 5/5 whereas someone who's beaten it on casual has one of 2/5 or something like that.

my gamerscore sucks... its only like 150.... but thats on my new account..... even on my "better" one i only have like 1500 lol
