do they crash for you? they dont for me. maybe u just need better ram or something. Im not a Hardware expert or anything, but it is not supposed to do that, and it isn't normal.

It has nothing to do with the RAM. The fact is that PC games have a tremendously higher propensity to crash. I always play games on a optimum level PC. I have seen Gears of War, Madden, Star Wars: KOTOR, Lord of the Rings, Jade Empire, BioShock, and Halo all crash on a PC. I have never ever seen any of those games crash on a console. Also, you can only install BioShock twice on a PC. You are not limited to that constraint on a console. Gears of War takes over 1 hour to install on a PC. You don’t have to wait over 1 hour on a console. Kidd Rune3, you mentioned something about the controls being and graphics being better. I find it easier to play games on a controller instead of a mouse and keyboard. Yes, the graphics are better on a PC. But that rule only applies if you upgrade the hell out of a PC. You have to install two video cards, a sound card, download this, install that. The entire process is time consuming and cumbersome. You don’t have to do any of that crap on a console. Just put the game in the console and play. It is as simple as that. I also find it significantly easier to eat and drink while playing games on a console as oppose to a PC. I am straying way off the original topic of Metal Gear Solid 4, so I will try to bring it back full circle. The most important element about the console versus PC debate is that Metal Gear Solid 4 is a console exclusive.

Actually it does have 2 do with the ram. in oblivion, i made my horse have lvl255 speed, just to try it out, and 255 jumping. i would jump and it would fly sooooo far. it lagged my PC a bit. then i installed more RAM, and it is SOOOOOOOOO fast. it works fine. i only needed 3gb, instead of the previous 2, which worked 100% with normal speed. I also love that i can disable music/sound effects in games, and play my music on my PC.

I never have any of those games crash on my PC really. You can also get demos, ROMs, flash games, and various other things on a PC. they dont crash if u have a good PC.

"Gears of War takes over 1 hour to install on a PC" actually, for me about 20mins. u need 2 upgrade or something. im pretty sure that may have something 2 do with RAM.

and about the eating thing, you can use right hand for the mouse, and eat with the other. controllers i think require both hands.

and i will say it ok. you can download games for the comp, if you dont want to spend a lot of money on games. never had probs. never got viruses.

You just posted that you are not a hardware expert. Then you go on to say that it is the RAM. How would you even know that if you are not an expert? That sounds like a lie to me. Even if you have a high quality PC, games will crash. That is just how it is. What I posted about BioShock and Gears of War were all true. I tried installing my friend's BioShock on my PC, but it didn't work. The reason for that is because he already installed it twice. Gears of War might have taken 20 min for you, but that is something that is still a very long time when you compare it to the console edition. That statement about upgrading is not a lie. If you play Crysis on a standard PC without upgrading, then you will notice flaws with the frame rate. After installing and downloading, Crysis ran at a much smoother frame rate. Yes, you can download content on a PC. You can also download content on a console. Haven't you ever heard of PSN and Xbox Live? Enough about the PC. This is a console and Metal Gear Solid 4 topic.

The only thing i changed on my comp was the RAM. therefore if it didnt work, i added RAM, then it worked, it must be the ram.

and also you can play games for ANY SYSTEM on your comp. and no it doesnt EVER crash for me. NEVER. Can you play NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, PS1, PS2, XBOX, CPU, Dreamcast, saturn, genesis, psp, NDS, GBC, GBA, NDS, Mame, and other systems on any other console? NO! Very Happy

AND, you can post @ hogs while playing games Very Happy

and the comp has 2x more games.

ON TOPIC:

I see my brother playing MGS sometimes, but i havent tried it. i should. it doesnt lag @ all, and i didnt have 2 pay anything for it. and it has goooood gfx.

Why the hell would anyone even want to play those old games on a PC? Even if there are twice as more games on a PC, it means nothing due to crashing and quality. Quality is more important than quantity. Kidd Rune, don't you ever get tired of posting the same thing every 5 seconds. Is Metal Gear Solid 4 on a PC? NO! It is a console exclusive. Try staying on topic.
