Battlefield 1942 hamachi lan problems

I am having trouble creating a game thats visible to others in my hamachi network with
battlefield 1942. My friend and i are patched to the exact same version, help?
Would having identical serials cause problems?

yes b/c of the having the same serials you wont be able to play on a mulitplayer game. the games will think your trying to play with your own game b/c the game serials are the same. and it wont register the fact that your friend is on a different computer. i would suggest that one of you uninstall and then reinstall with a different serial, so that you both dont have the same serial.
