| It's a brand new forum, and I believe they just started a pay-per-click advertising campaign. If you have friends you could invite them. This entire web-site has only been around for three months, and they just started the forum. |

| Thanks for letting some of your buddy's in the other forums know about our little forum here. I'm just starting to advertise, and hopefully we'll have more members soon. |

nice site guys. i just started mine (link in sig). You might wanna cut down on the # of forums. Lesser forums with more topcs is better than more forums with less topics. Makes it look more full. How are those pay-per-clicks? do they really work that well or is it bogus traffic?

NO MORE ADVERTISEMENTS IN YOUR SIG. I dont care if you put a pic of it but please dont put a link its annoying. If you want to start your own discussion thats cool but please dont keep it in your SIG. Thanx.
Oh yeah and i can edit your sig out so dont even try. |

Well I use Google AdSense, and from what I've found you get pretty legitimate clicks (and you don't pay for clicks Google thinks are fraudulent). The down side is that my current ad campaign isn't getting more than three or four clicks a day. From what I can tell, my conversion rate (people who clicked the ads then joined) seems to be about twenty percent, and that's not that bad. |

You should really think about advertising on videogame sites, you know like GameWinners.com or ign it will really be costly but im sure you get a lot more people that way. |

| A lot of game sites use AdSense among other ad campaigns like Overture (which I also have an account with). So our ads are being viewed a couple thousand times a day, but were only getting a few good clicks. Human advertising (word of mouth) is more effective for obtaining active members in the long run. But I'm aslo going to ad picture links on HeroesOfGaming.com's index pages to get more clicks. Right now I'm pushing most of the traffic to the XBox 360 and PS3 sections, people love our HD videos. |

| I would consider this as a super-forum except we have barely any members. Although id rather have less members and more active members than have more members and less active. |

I have an idea for advertising, you could go into a chat room, say Video Games on Yahoo messenger, then tell people about it. I f they sound interested, give them a link, or you could just tell the entire room about it. If they are into a chat room about gaming, then they would probably like this sort of place. Just an idea, and if you want, I'm willing to do it, just PM me and i'll do it. it's not like they can ban me or anything if people take offense, and it will get people. I used it for my old Halo 2 site. I quit doing it because Geocities said i had to start paying for it because it had so many hit, but I just didn't think it was worth it for me at the time.
I don't update it, but i guess you could check it out.
Click here to see it. Well, thats my two cents on advertising. It worked well for me. |
