We've added currency to the forum. Now don't worry were not charging to use it. And unfortunately we're not paying you to use it either. Right now the currency is just for fun. But in time we may think of some inventive uses for it.

There are three forms of currency. There are Bronze Chips, Silver Chips and Gold Chips. Silver Chips are worth 10 Bronze Chips and Gold Chips are worth 100 Bronze Chips.

You earn Bronze Chips for posting new topics, and you earn a small amount of chips for replying to a posts. You can exchange the Chips for more valuable Chips, and you can also give a friend some Chips if youÃ¢â‚¬â„¢re in a giving mood.

If the currency bugs you, then ignore it. It doesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t affect the normal posting in any way.

Let me know here what you think about the Chips. If you have any ideas about what we can do with them let me know and I'll see if it's feasible.

Yea, you should be able to get unlimmited about of points per hour.

The default setting was only so many chips per every 24 hours to prevent spamming. But I dropped it down to so many an hour. I'll go ahead an remove the limitations until we get a spam problem.

Okay, you shouldn't have any problems unless you can post more than 999,999 times in an hour.

I was thinking about adding a gambling section. A place where you could put up a post with a bet, and see if somebody takes your bet. Something like "I bet 50 Bronze Chips that the Dolphins will win this weekends game". Somebody accepts the bet and the loser pays the winner using the donate function.

People could also run football pools where everybody pays one person ten Bronze Chips to play and the winner gets 90% of the Chips while the person running the pool keeps 10% as his cut for running it.

But if we do it we should bet on everything from what movie will be #1 this week, to sports, to anything you can think of.

What do you guys think?

check out the 360 forum. Theyve got a casino. Its the same kinda database. Maybe you could steal theirs.

I just checked it out, and your right they are using a modified versin of PHPbb which is what we're using. I'll see if I can find some games for the Chips.

My friend had one with a betting booth, his was heavily modifed and it was great.

Awesome hopefully we can get a casino thats what makes having these chips so great. Too bad we couldnt have a poker tournament. I think that would be pretty cool.

or have an entrance fee of like 5 or 10 silver then we can have our own private table under a online poker place. I know a couple sites but ill have to check when i get home if you can have private table. Great Idea.
