I've been flicking through the latest PS2 magazine and it seems a lot of the games in the PS3 will focus on you the gamer making moral decisions. Examples:
Call Of Duty 3: Tipped to be the best shooter of PS3 with lots of added features. But the morality part lies here. Usually in FPSs like this the enemy, this case Nazi soldiers, are seen as targets basically. But on PS3 you see emotions flick through their faces. One minute they could be mega angry at you but the next you could see fear, panic and maybe even tears running down their faces as you are about to kill them. Would this make you think twice before pulling the trigger as you see emotions like this infront of you?
Haze: Another FPS where war is now controlled by private companies. Here you have to make lots of decisions. Do you kill a person that is pleading for their life? Remember they could be an innocent civilian or someone concealing a weapon and about to kill you. Would you pull the trigger or not?
Is morality going to play a big part in future gaming? |

| I've been seeing it as a major role in games for years. I personally hope it becomes a standard in games. Just look at how much it added to Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, or Fable. |

| I dont want games to get to the point where people feel sorry for doing something in a game. |

| Or the wrong ones, depending on what ending you want. Also another bonus of morality type games... Multiple endings. |
