Possibility..?

This'n may have been pitched before, but I just spend 5 hours on the sled, my a$$ hurts and I'm tired, so sorry if it has.

What if, when a person just registers, they can only see a single forum (a forum others have no need for, eg. a second, unused spam forum) and they cannot see any other forum until they have surpassed a three or four post minimum (with an explanation topic at the top of course, for the actual users). With this forum invisible to anyone who has passed the post requirements. That way when spam-bots attack, though easily ignored.. they'll just be less.. annoying. Not sure if it'll work?

It sounds like an ok idea. It may work, but I don't know if Rsstites would have time to do that, especially with the new Myspace. He will get sucked into the Myspace black hole of no return.

I always hated those ideas. I always quit sites that do that to me, I always want to nuke there mind.

But with spam bots its not so bad.

The problem with it is that the search engine spiders wouldn't be able to see the forums, and we wouldn't get indexed properly.

If this were a private forum, it would be great. But we could always make a secret members area, one that you must be logged in to view. This way people could work out disputes there without the whole world seeing. Then of course we would have the elite, which would be a step above, then the mod forum.

Elite is still a rank, just moderators choose people they think deserve it, that's what I was told anyway.

And I didn't think anbout the search engines not picking up the forums.
